passionate people, serving great food – brilliantly
We believe our people and our food are our best assets! As such, we are continually looking for ways to develop and reward our teams.
Recently, three members of our customer service team at Baker Hughes in Aberdeen have just completed their SVQ’s. These ladies have been working in partnership over the last few months with mgt training, our local training partner to achieve this.
Shona McKay and Claire Gilchrist have just completed an SVQ in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership and Maree MacGregor has just finalised her SVQ Level 2 in Customer Service. All three have been working hard to develop their skills and knowledge and put them into practice in their roles as Food Service Assistants and Catering Supervisor.
The girls who are part of the catering team based at Baker Hughes in Stoneywood are very aware of the importance of providing excellent service and believe that in completing the qualification they have gained new skills and a higher level of confidence when delivering the catering service to customers on site.
When asked how they felt they had benefited from completing the qualification the girls said:
Shona McKay “I have gained much experience and training thanks to mgt training and Inspire”
Claire Gilchrist “I really enjoyed the course and with help from Pamela and my manager I completed the course in no time at all. “
Maree Mc Gregor “I feel I have gained new skills form my qualification and look forward to completing my next SVQ!”
Denise Coulter, Quality & Training Manager said “Working with mgt training has been a great experience with Michelle and her team working with us to identify suitable candidates from our team and select the right SVQ qualification and specific units in order that the individual and our business can get maximum benefit from the qualification. It has made our team very aware of the do’s and don’ts of providing an excellent catering service and we are very proud of the team’s achievements.”
