What is it?
The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement covers the principles and practices of assessment and qualifies learners to assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in non-workplace settings (for example, classroom, workshop or training environments). It’s assessed through a portfolio of evidence, which can include methods such as direct observation, professional discussion, witness testimony and supporting documents
Who is it right for?
This award is aimed at practitioners who assess learners’ vocational competence outside the workplace — typically trainers/tutors/instructors who need a recognised assessor qualification for regulated vocational programmes delivered in learning environments rather than on-the-job. There are no formal entry requirements, but the centre must be confident the learner has the opportunity and potential to complete it successfully
